November 03, Tucson – Today, the Kirkpatrick campaign poses Question Four to Trump-Republicans Lea Marquez Peterson, why does Marquez Peterson support the Trump-Republican Tax BIll that only benefits the big corporations and the wealthiest Americans?
Last year, Republican Marquez Peterson wrote an op-ed to the Arizona Daily Star highlighting her support of the GOP Tax Bill and applauding Martha McSally for supporting a bill that gives 83% of the benefits to the top 1%.
“Lea Marquez Peterson has not been shy about her support of the GOP Tax Bill that adds $1.9 trillion to our deficit and hurts working Arizona families,” said Kirkpatrick campaign spokeswoman Abigail O’Brien. “For far too long, working families have been squeezed by rising costs from healthcare, childcare to housing and education. We need to create a system that supports our working families, not the top 1%. Marquez Peterson’s support of this reckless Republican tax bill is just another example of her putting wealthy donors ahead of working Southern Arizona families.”
